Traditional pipelines from Russia to Western EU cross Ukraine, the Baltic countries, Poland and Belarus, which are supplied by Russia as well. Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 surpass these countries. This allows Russia to blackmail EU members Poland, Baltics and Ukraine, Belarus, by cutting off supplies. This happened already.
We will discuss the situation, the background with former German chancelor Schröder as promoter of the Russian project, and where this might lead us.
